Hi Everyone. We have a steam room at our hotel which needs an facelift. Using the correct adhesive and grout etc. would it be feasible to tile over the wall tiles that are already in there? Nice flat surface and all that.

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete welcome aboard the forum.

It depends on what the existing tiles have been tiled onto. It's always best to pull them off and start a fresh due to weight issues. Do you know what the existing tiles were tiled onto? And are they ceramic? And what tile type are you planning to tile with?

HI pete H :welcome: TO THE FORUM i would recommend that you strip -off really as a steam room has to withstand quite a harsh environment , if you want the job to last a long time  and picture would be good
