Hi,

I'm laying some 450 x 75 porcelain tiles on a concrete floor and would normally use a 3mm grout joint, what would be the consequences, if any, of using a 2mm grout joint?

Thanks.

I'm fixing some 1200 x 200 planks with a 3mm joint so if you reduced your grout joint to 2mm you would still have more grout width per metre than me

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
Due the lack of comment from anyone else, I assume that despite British Standard being 3mm for floors, then I run no risk of a grout failure providing the tiles are fixed correctly and I use a floor grout suitable for 2mm joints.

As long as you fix the tiles correctly and have a perimeter expansion if going to skirting boards should be fine
