Hi,
I know that Rubi make some great kit but here in Holland a TS 60 will knock you back +- 240 euros. However I can pick up the Genesis Pro 600 mm cutter for 79 euros. A considerable saving. Does anyone rate the Genesis cutters ?
Are they ok for heavy duty use ?
Any comments will be greatly appreciated,
Cheers, Phill.F

i find that the rails bend on thick porcelain tiles, still got one but dont use it.I would contact trade tiler aswell ,im sure Dave will help you out.

looks good but not yet used it...and probably wont for a week or two as have nat stone jobs to do first...sorry, I cant help! Brian's review is worryingly interesting though

I've got the super pro 600, and so far it's coped with both ceramic and porcelain with no probs, just make sure to use Rubi scoring wheels in it as supplied one's aren't the best:thumbsup:

Thanks for the advice guys and here is an update. The client told me the tiles were big which to me meant 50x50 or 60 x 60. So in the end I got the Rubi TS 60 plus and turned up at the job once the tiles arrived, jeez-- 120 x 60 porcelain floor tiles, XXL range by mosa (www.mosa.nl).
The TS won't break them trying to cut the 60 width, so I knew I'd have a problem with the 120 length. I managed to locate a TX 1200 cutter for hire here in Amsterdam and gave it a go but it won't break the tiles.
Any suggestions ?? Is there a cutter out there for the job?
Cheers, Phil.

I've got the genesis 600, got it on a sale at boydens, epsom a year ago for 70 notes. A good all round cutter, but couldn't cut the hardest porcelain I've ever come across a few weeks ago, in fact, my mercrist blade suffered as well!

I don't like the stop guide, too complicated, should be more like the Rubi. I also find with large tiles, I have to check and re-check my marks before I score and cut.
