So what EUH systems would you recommend for the following room sizes

2400 x 2400mm

2400 x 3200mm

both floors are 22mm moisture resistant t&g chipboard already laid.

Joists are 50 x 225.

Hi Hammer-Ray

I presume that the floor covering is tiles?

Area 1 = 5.76m2 @ 85% = 4.89m2
Area 2 = 7.68m2 @ 85% = 6.53m2

Total area = 13.44m2

If an internal application such as Kitchen/bathroom you will need 160w/m2 or if an area of higher heat loss you will need 200w/m2

You will need a total of 19 x 10mm Insulation boards (600x1200mm)

Below are products and prices required for either option

160w/m2

Area 1 - MD160/5.0 = £132.67
Area 2 - MD160/6.0 = £172.91

19 x Ekoboards = £104.88
2 x Thermostats TH132AF = £128.80

Total £539.26

200w/m2

Area 1 - MD200/5.0 = £159.81
Area 2 - MD200/6.0 = £183.29

19 x Ekoboards = £104.88
2 x Thermostats TH132AF = £128.80

Total £576.78

I have priced for 2 thermostats but with the size of the rooms you can get away with 1 if you wish.

I hope this helps

Best Wishes and Happy New Year,

Hi Aaron,

I will be in touch shortly to order up my materials.

I will only be doing 1 room now, actual measurements to follow.

Devi are by far the most superior underfloor heating system avaliable. This must be one of the most crammed markets at the minute with many sub-standard matting systems coming in from china and the like

I would agree with you that Devi are a good ufh supplier and like us offer good quality products.

There are some horrific ufh systems that are coming from China at silly prices which will end up working for short space of time and then where do you go for help?

We at Uheat offer a great range of superior quality products at a great price even if you are considering buying another product we are here to offer help and advice if needed.

Thanks for your comments

Yes, Devi are the largest manufacturer in the world.

There are still a few companies, like Elektra, that source all their raw materials from europe and actually manufacture the heating cables/mats in europe. One of Devi's largest factories is about 40Km from the Elektra factory in Poland:smilewinkgrin:

There are many sub-standard underfloor heating mats & cables flooding the market. I've seen alot of them, they try to sell to us:thumbsdown: The quality is unbelievable - poor. The source of most of these cables is China & india where quality control is not up to European standards, for example Elektra test every mat / cable that leaves the factory, unlike some that only batch test. That's just one of the reasons why we haven't had a manufacturing fault on any system during 2007, 2008 & 2009.

Give us a try and I don't think you'll be disappointed in the quality of the product or service:thumbsup:
