Thats a really interesting question and i feel the only person that can answer that is a solicitor who specialises in that field , but im sure one question that will be asked of you is this , to know that it is dot and dabbed you probably saw the work during the process and if you felt it was being done incorrectly why did you not stop your contractor .If a professional timer used dot and dab in the bathroom even though standards of good practice are not mandatory can I insist they be changed
