I have recently set up as a self employed tiler, i have done a few domestic jobs and have been aproched to regrout an office would i be able to do this as i have no nvq or cscs card all i have is a city and guilds, how does the law work ?

Have you been approached by the company who owns the office or is it through a contractor? If it's direct then you'll be fine, if it's though a building contractor then you need to ask what their policy is. I do a lot of commercial work but haven't been asked to show mine once this year

it was by the company direct its only a small job just didn't want to get in trouble 🙂

law firm !!! up your price . then give them the invoice before you grout it. add on every extra you can think of and if they say anything then tell them tell them you will finish when your paid just as they do..

its a granite floor begining to think might be more trouble than its worth

Would that be on a "No grout no fee basis?"

In all seriousness I used to deal with solicitors a lot, and to be fair they always paid but they do expect a top notch job. If you do the job right then they would have no reason not to pay.

they have just had four granite tiles replaced so the grout colour does not match up just wondering why they didn't get there original tiler to do it
