Interesting..how's that work then if the wires are broken and cold?
I've heard there's ufh repair companies that put a large voltage through the ufh cables and find the break somehow?
Sometimes you get lucky Andy and the heating will go on for a while then switch off suddenly but it will leave a heat signature

Other times when not so lucky electrician will check continuity of cables and sensor then if still no fault found disconnect sensor and thermostat and run current thru cable and use a live voltage detector

Ah right, sounds a lucrative market....as long as builders, sparkies plumbers and joiners are installing ufh sure they'll be a constant flow of work ;)
I cannot do the electrical side only play with controls etc see if I can get it to run a while, after that electrician must come to help me

Best one was taking the bath panel off found 5 metres of live heated cable coiled under bath encased in dollops of adhesive, she wondered how her *** was always burning in bath!
Haha...can top that, I once went to tile a bathroom floor that another tiler had laid the ufh and leveled over and found about twenty metres of wire curled up and down the room in a gap under the skirting boards. Pointed it out to customer and they actually got a sparkie to agree to cutting it off and rejoining the end... Never did find out if it lasted longer than a week!!
