Advice on removing bath trim under tiles

Hi!
I'd really like some professional advice on whether it's possible or not to remove bath trim that has been set in under the lower tile edge without having to remove the tiles.
The trim really needs replacing as its had years of mold, paint and silicon added to it (not by me!) but I really don't want to remove any wall tiles.

I've got a new trim that sits over the top of the tiles so is it possible to cut away the old one with a Stanley knife?

Thanks for the help!

You could cut it off, Silicon the gap and then use the new trim but be careful when cutting it a the tend to be quite tough.

Be careful with that knife. Fingers bleed and acrylic baths scratch! Once removed you can now buy bath trims that go over the tiles. It all depends what your tiles look like after you have removed the trim. Good luck

I managed it! Took over an hour and was hard work. No major injuries to myself or the bath. If I ever install a bathroom from scratch I won't be using those strips!
