Booked a course 18 months ago through step-to-training and attended five day tiling package (as part of a multi skill diy course) as the centre was rebranding to Access training wales. The instructor was a brickie. They had limited bays. Was ok for a five day diy however one of the guys doing six weeks hadnt done anything but ceramic wall and floor in fairly basic patterns and was bored at the end. Things may have changed however suggest you try before you buy and ask the relevant questions that dan has posted.

I did a 4 week course there, again taught by a brickie. I only covered ceramic wall and floor tiling, lots of cutting and shaping. I didn't get any qualification from the course, even though it was BAL approved. They did say they would send me some post course literature, but nothing has arrived.

Say no more, what does a bricky know about tiling, would a tiler show you how to lay bricks and build a house
Did you pay for the course or did you get it free through the government.
When booking on a course free or paid, find out who is the trainer and try and get past student feedback, if you cant get either, avoid
