Sorry, one of those lines is a nail...
Yes full refund and tell him he is lucky you are not pursuing cost of tiles he has used.@callatiler it’s laid over wet overboard UFH so I’d be worried that would be damaged. Can’t afford to buy new tiles and pay another tradesman so will need to live with it. Will be looking for a reimbursement though, you reckon the full what is due back?
even then he is still losingJust be honest, tell him it’s a very poor job all round and you want your money back.
I’ve spoken with CAB and they advised the same, however I don’t have an address for him so I would struggle when it comes to small claims. I think I might have found the details on 192.com but they’re asking for £15 to release these to me. Not wanting fleeced again, anyone any idea if the info they give is reliable? If I can get the address I can send a recorded letter which Stands me in much better stead.
I don’t know if I can stomach a rip up and redo, I certainly don’t have money for the new tiles. And I don’t really want work done again by this *** hat. ☠️
He’s a big guy and I’m a not very large lass! Not sure I want to set him upGet another phone . Phone the guy up and arrange to me him in a different part of town to look at a job . Obviously giving a different name , and he will come to you .
That was the original plan JC, but we just folded under the pressure of one room living. Everything else is being done by me and the other half, and we’re really enjoying it! I’m sure I’d have enjoyed learning all about tiling too, can’t have done a worse job than this guyMaybe if you need to serve papers you could use this approach . I never have a anybody do work in my house unless I think I can knock them out in a straight fight . Consequently I have to do all the work in my house .
