An alternative method would be to 'cast' the mosaics in question the night before using white rapid by lightly (1-2mm) skimming the back of each sheet laying them face down on a very flat surface over night. The next day, your mosaic sheets will be tiles

It's one of the ways I can do it and have done many times with successful results. Try it and see how you get on.

Example, dogtooth method is great but problematic if mosaics have to be installed around pipes for shower valve or waste pipes for any other plumbing, the area your screeding would be quite messy and probably need done in two visits. Easy solution would be to cast the mosaics for this area and cut holes for pipe as you would a full tile.

Can't see that working for me. But the dog tooth will work around pips if you are using rapid set to biuld out you can leve it proud around the pips and just as it is on the turn you can scrape it back flush. No need to revisit and not really that messy. Just out of quriosity how would you ensure the adhesive is applied to exactly the same depth so you don't get any lipping and surly a day later the adhesive will still be green how do you stop it from just braking up and crumbling away?
