Hi all,

I have some piece of granite I am going to use as a surround for my stove. Anyone used a mapei adhesive for this before?

Hard to beat a wood burning or multi fuel stove.
I have one and it's class, i'm sitting here in my teeshirt roasted with the bugger and i'm 16 ft away from it !! lol.

Perfect, thanks guys. I should have some kerraquick left over from my floor job so that would be great - would adding some latex plus be even better?

I take it some mapei silicon should be ok too?

I personally would keep the silicon away because of so much heat, how many kw output will you have?

Any wood stove needs an unmodified mortar...no additives and no Silicon.
Unless it already has a heat surround in place and then you could mount them with rtv Silicon.
