well that's a matter of opinion Bri 😉, but what's the problem with first getting the kitchen walls flat first and making it easier on yourself? tubbed/premixed pooh isn't suuitable for bedding out on uneven walls as it relies on air to cure it, the thicker the addy the longer it will take to dry out (even though some tubbed will not dry out/cure if applied over-thick)

A fantastic adhesive (bagged cement) for you would be Mapei P9. A polymer modified slow set with an 8 hr pot life. Great initial grab and very easy to work with 🙂
