Topps Tiles 600mm x 600mm Brussels polished porcelain tiles

Hi All
I've got some of the above mentioned tiles to fit next week,but have never had to fit polished porcelain before(strange but true)
I know it has been mentioned on here many times before but could someone give me a run down on the process of cleaning,grouting,sealing,etc,etc

Beige colour, veiny tile.

Substrate must be very good otherwise any lippage is very noticeable.

With reference to the process you want to fix, clean, seal, grout, clean, seal. I always use residue removers on polished porcs. Good luck.

Not all porcs have transit wax on them and not all require sealing.. Seek advice from the retailer as to what is what with said tiles.

Topps black and white 600x300 are ladled in wax.

Hi Cam..sorry for all of the questions.
I assume the residue remover is the cleaner?
What is the time delay between clean,seal,grout,clean,seal?

after the 2nd seal buff well or you will be left with sealer that has not soaked in left on the top of the tiles

It depends on your grout whether you are using rapid set (assuming you have bal micro max2, as that what topps push) or not. Blue roll is your best friend on these tiles!!!!

I'd advise customer on a light or dark grey as over time it'll look nasty. Is superglued not very grainy ?

You can buy grout cleaners you know :lol: .... i recommend one to suit the tiles.

It's only for a bathroom floor and although it's for a floor I was not going to use the wide joint grout.

A limestone might be best. Slightly darker than Manila ivory etc but light enough to blend to tile. Slippery bloody bathroom!!!

Yes it is, I'd be using Mapei UCP

If this bathroom floor was sealed in the morning,would it be dry enough to walk on in the afternoon or best left for 24 hrs?
And what will take the plumbers pencil marks out(around the toilet)?
