Tiler has made mistakes - Advice required

sounds to me he is not really a tiler with such school boy errors, the tiling looks nice and flat though with no limpage so there is hope there, can't understand what has happened with the window was the reveal not to be tiled ? he has offered to put right for free with no charge, that's good you wont get many like that just underlines to spend more time setting out before you get yourself into a pickle.

Is guess the tiler has tiled the sides, just not done his cuts in to window yet, only done the full tiles...that's the way I do it anyway!

They had run out of tiles when the pics were taken so I guess he'd just grouted everything he'd done

Why did,nt the customer check the work as it progressed,surely the tiler was there for at least a couple of days,it could have been checked when the tiler had gone and told the next day that they was not satisfied ?

Yeah,he's cocked up admitted it ,get him to pay for the overboarding/skimming/re- trimming and pay the man.
BTW if it was me I would have wanted paying for the first bathroom before i started tother one. We've all got to eat!

Bang some small coving around the ceiling, remove reveal plasterboard, use hardwall and plaster to bring flush with trim......job done 🙂 all could be done in 1 day easily!!.....

You shouldnt keep saying find another career

We all make mistakes in our jobs ,.But we can all learn from them.The tiling hes done looks ok a few setting out proplems but i bet he wont make that mistake again

He will properly become a better tiler because of it THATS MY POINT

to many smart asses on here giving advice out and ill bet half of you have only been on a tiling course,he who has never made a mistake is a liar and has never done nothing,give the lad a chance before you hang him ,i for one get cheesed of with some peoples opinions on here,i have been a tiler for forty years now and fixed one hell of a lot of tiles i can tell you ,i have done a lot of jobs seen a lot of jobs worked just about every where in the country ,worked for some big tiling companys on big big contracts ,done swimming pools and the likes supermarkets,prisons you name it and i can still make the odd mistake,its nothing that cant be made right as bad as it seems,the man should have paid for the first bathroomif he was happy or if not why let him start the second,im sorry but this stinks

Oh it is SO SO easy to sit behind a keyboard and scream the tiler is crap... i said early on in this thread that summit ain't right and i still think it isn't right..
