I've just purchased 10mm depth tiles and need to know what size of edging to use. Is 10mm edging ok to use. I'm concerned that once the tiles are on the adhesive then perhaps 12mm may be better ?

The edging is the standard cheap white upvc baught from topps tiles.

The guy in the shop sold 9mm edging to my wife saying that "everyone just buys 9mm" and I'm not convinced this is correct

Any help would be appreciated

I would go with 12mm mate, the guy at the shop is talking tosh. Each thickness of tile requires the right trim eg. 6mm 8mm 10mm 12mm 15mm. Good luck

Thanks Phil appreciate your response. I'll hunt the guy down when I go back tonight to get a refund..

As Phil says, 12mm to allow for a little adhesive and for it to 'lip' the tile well.

9mm will be too short/thin and you'd see the edge of the tile.

Yep yep. 12mm. What are the tiles though fella? If it's just a basin (not sink! grrrr! lol) it might suit to not use trim at all. Are the tiles from topps as well?

Can't find them on B and Q. Some tiles look pretty good just putting a tapered grouted edge around the tile.
