I can highly recommend a cheap lenovo. If you want the model gimme a shout. Was the cheapest laptop I found and ordered a couple for me and Lou when my macbook pro was in for repairs and haven't bothered with the Mac since installing everything on the lenovo. Yet it had a cheap Toshiba and a cheap something else a while ago and both were sluggish and couldn't cope with what I need them for.Fair enough, will have another go when I get a new laptop
Hi Dundeetiler, Have a look at ProtoTILER to see if it gives you what you want. It allows you to plan the layout of the tiles to avoid thin cuts, centralize the tiles for symmetry and rotate the pattern to create more interesting designs, in addition it provide a comprehensive list of patterns e.g. Stack, bond, Pin Wheel, Herringbone, Basketweave and it will even calculate the cuts and number of tiles required.Great posts guys, thanks a lot!
I just think with me starting out fresh on my own, if I can show or offer clients some designs and visualisations it might give me a little edge on some of the competition - as well as giving me something to mess around with. Cheers!
