hello men.. my first post on the forum,, im also on plumbers forum and in night school studying plumbing. im a plasterer by trade and never really thought about doing tiling, but recently fell off my stilts and broke my arm... and after installing two bathrooms for the inlaws i have decided that i think i prefer tiling, ive definitely got a bug for it.. but its not something im going to jump it to but just trying to learn from books, forum and internet and probably go to college after doing plumbing..

anyway what i wanted to know was.. has any 1 used the Hudson pro tile cutter or vitrex professional tile cutter from tool station.. it has similarity to rubi cutters but alot cheaper, is it any good? ive also purchased big clinker mark1.. but what ive noticed about rubi cutters is u can see where your cutting. thanks men

Hi and welcome....I take it your refering to wet cutters....the vitrex is quite a good small cutter

Used Rubi for years just switched to Sigma!!

Buy a good second hand cutter to get you going..

hello men.. ive been looking vids on u-tube and ill just use the big clinker till i can afford a sigma.. thanks for replys

thanks for the replys.. ill probably save my money till i can afford a sigma, after seeing vids on u tube. thanks

Hi and welcome pipeline.
Id see if i could pick up a second hand Rubi from ebay if i were you.
Im going to make the switch over to Sigma soon myself. But you'll pick a Rubi up fairly cheap. Starting out on a cheap cutter is fine. But a Rubi or Sigma will be much more of an advantage to you.
