Fist off I am sorry Is ANYONE was offended by the profanity used in this video........but when a team of blokes get together.....stuff happens......sorry.........
the point of the video is just to put some adhesives to the test, and it is by no means scientific......but it is real world.........its more of a giggle............
we are hopefully going to get the adhesive manafactures to bash each others tiles off in 28 days or so.......its light hearted and reasonably interesting to see what happens!!!!!

i did notice one thing on that video regarding the slurry mix for the porcelain tiles? was that modified?? or was it just a neat cement slurry? just thinking about the affect it will have on the test results.

That was the whole point of the sand and cement ED......no sbr in the mix....just plain old sand and cement.......and to quote Ray.....it was the cheapest cement I could get my ands' on!!!

when you say, 'that was the whole point of sand and cement', no sbr in the mix...what you you mean? you have to treat the porcelain tile different to the ceramic because if you slurry the back of the porcelain with water and neat cement, then it wont form a very good bond will it...even in the 70's and 80's my old man would mix sbr and cement when fixing porcelain in sand and cement.. sbr has been around since the 40's so ray must have been fixing before the war ;0)
