Afternoon all. Some of you may remember a post I put up a few weeks ago regarding Silicon that just would not bond to the bath and shower tray (link below)
[h=3]Your thoughts on splitting Silicon...[/h]Well it has been a total pain in the backside to say the least. Replaced it with Mapei Silicon and it still came away. I phoned Mr Nick Walker (I hope he wont mind me giving his name) from Mapei to see what he thought. He was stumped and went away to have a word with a few other people, when he came back to me he mentioned a primer (as the members on here had advised), the problem is the cheapest I could find the primer on line for was nearly £100!!
He offered to come and see the customer with me and explain that the Silicon was used correctly and that it definitely was not down to poor workmanship. This was worth its weight in gold to me as the customer is beginning to loose faith in me. On top of this he drove down from god knows where to deliver a bottle of said primer to me by hand. What a top bloke and what a top product!
Thank you very much Nick and Mapei
