Actually he was far from it (Tree Hugger) that is. His opinions were great on most subjects but as to that one "Stone leave well alone" Whilst people in ancient times let the stone take care of itself they didn't have Ketchup, Indian takeaways, fancy shampoos and shower gels either. It's simple test it if it needs sealing seal it

I presume you drop some chicken tikka massalla on it and see if it stains 😉.

Cant you use the dry whiteboard marker test on it ?

i always think a simple water test pop some water on leave it for 30 minutes wipe it up if theres a damp patch it needs sealing

No mate, a bit early for that, not even managing to tile full time yet. I think it's gonna take a while to get up and running fully.

I always test with water leave for about 20 mins and if it leaves a mark seal it .
