I have the no no sense kit from screw fix, a bit like the fugi, it's not great, did see those little skies on a fugi kit video and could see them of benifit now I have tried the set that dosnt come with them as every time it hits the grout line it dips in, where I guess the mini skies glide over the grout line, I just picked up that rubber finger so going to try that next.. but while on the subject of Silicon, is it me but do people find Dow coving very soft. is there better, just for around sanitary ware I mean.

Soft Silicon is the worst thing, I'm pretty good with the finger method, ooh err, tile master Silicon is great to use
I really like the no nonsense ones, bought another set recently. I've tried the fugi one but the no nonsense ones get into smaller spaces and are just a better shape, in my opinion.

Yet again it's TileMaster for me, good Silicon and colours match the grouts. Though if it's just white or clear Silicon I use Forever White or Clear by Everbuild. I always incorporate siliconing into my estimates.

I just add £10 on for the Silicon, happy with that really.

But on many jobs that wont cover the cost of buying the Silicon!
On domestic quotes I think you should include the Silicon as a separate item as many of you competitors might not be even doing it. If using more than one colour then these should be costed separately ( you might not need that colour again in it's shelf life so the whole tube needs to be charged for).
I think a lot of tilers underestimate the time required to do it well and also the additional costs of wipes, masking tape, replacing frayed tools etc.
On contract work it is (in my experience) a separate item at £x.xx/m in the estimate and on the invoice
Siliconing is itemised in my quote. I don't go back the next day because the grout is usually dry enough. I don't grout internal corners or between the bath or shower tray and the first row of tiles. I try and use the colour coded Silicon to the grout (usually Weber pro flex). I use about half a pack of baby wipes and a few sheets of Plenty (Bounty). I have the Fugi profiling set but my favourite profiling tools are some cheap ones I found in one of those big discount stores.........I wish I had bought a few more packs!
I do like siliconing and I'm pretty good at it. However, most customers don't even notice the neat lines of my Silicon. I've been on jobs when the builder has literally applied Silicon and squashed it in with his big fingers..........the customers say nothing!
