I only gave them 80% of the cost as suggested by bathroom company as they are contracted fitters until the manager of the company comes out to inspect it on Monday. Will still owe the company 3500 after that also so hoping that's enough leverage

Sounds like you could have a bit of leverage! Any sign of waterproofing before the tiles went down?
I have seen worse this year. This photo just shows how some "tilers" just don't have the intelligence to either A) work it out B) ask for guidance C) read the instructions!

Time's Ran Out

The company provided the fitters to pay direct so don't pay the company the balance until they sort this situation out.
You have enough in £3500 to get it done correct at this stage.
But don't pay any more!!
