Hi all,

I'm tiling a cooker and worktop splash back with some crackle glaze tiles. The makers say they need to be sealed before grouting. Now, I'm on a really tight budget, and £20 for a litre seems a bit much to me, so can I use either some HG Impregnator that I have left over from a previous job, or some water based impregnating stone sealer I have? Does anyone know what this crackle glaze sealer consists of? Are all makes of it basically the same thing? As always, any help is much appreciated.
