quarry tile cutter

Hi can anyone recomend a reasonable priced cutter. already have a rubi ts70+ but I am starting to get a few jobs doing Quarry tiles in diagonal patterns and I now need a cutter with a movable breaker any surgestions welcome p.s. I'm on a tight budget

Try the Rubi TR 400...........spot on for those type of tiles.......

Some of the quarries out there are very heavily ribbed on the back...........most dry cutters destroy them.

I find that if you cut in the same direction as the ribs CJ , i have no probs.....

I know wot you mean Dave............but sometimes the Rubi struggles with its fixed breaker...........

Thats where the tr 400 will come in..it has a movable breaker......

buy the maxi breaker from rubi it cuts quarries you still need to scribe with your normal cutter the maxi breaker will cut slithers if need be we used to use one years ago when quarries were all the rage

Mines great. Will cut quarries easily but if you need a smooth edge you will need to wet cut.

ok guys i'm looking for a good wet cutter i had one out of b&q it lasted me 6month then burnt out so i had to go back to b&q to get a new one but the thing is i had to get the small one

can you please tell me the best one to cut tiles 600 by 600 as i'm on a job just now and when i look at me wee tile cutter i shake my head and look at the tile then turn and walk back inside

my budget hummm i'm thinking about £200

I have just had a look online and the Rexon RTC230A 800W Tile Cutter looks like a nice bit of kit and asking £180 but is there anything else like this kicking about i'll pay up to £200 for one

600x600 is a big tile to cut. You really need something like a rail cutter or something with a sliding bed to make life easier. Unfortunatley they tend not to come cheap.

looks like i'm going to make something so the tiles can sit on the wee cheap one the now but i'll keep looking
