Hi there,
Don't know whether it's just a matter of personal preference but what's the best method of prepping a chipboard floor?
i.e. 6mm cement boards, glued and screwed or Ditra mat? Cheers.

Cement boards, you want to ensure you have a solid base, fix any bounce or movement on your chipboard if you have any before you lay down your cement boards.

Ditra Mat and other anti crack mats, don't help with "bounce" in a floor. They serve another purpose.

As Paul has said above, ensure your base is solid and then overboard it with cement boards. Personally I like using Hardiebacker generally and if you type "Hardiebacker Installation Guide" into google, it will tell you what you need to know to install it.

Personally I'd make sure no bounce in floor first !! Then overboard with 22mm ply screwed at 6inch centres prime with sbr , then durabase ( decoupling membrane ) and then tile !!
