Porcelain tiles what a nightmare...

Fixing 450 x 450 porcelain tiles on a wall, but they are 10mm thick, nightmare to cut :mad2:

Got a rubi tx900, didnt want to know this tiles, had to wet cut them on my table saw...

Ive got the tx700n, Yet to find a porcelain tile it wont cut, not so sure now though!:whatchutalkingabout

The trick is when using the tx range is to break it about 2 inches in from the end and hit the breaker hard and fast..works every time on very hard porcelain..its all in the technique...practise on off cuts till you can do it every time.....

Very good machines allround, I've still got a Sigma Technica 37cm for small tiles/splashbacks cuts anything.
The only porcelain my guys have struggled with had extra iron filing content; at least that's what the tile distributer said.

Done a few 10mm porcelains on my tx700 with no probs atall.
try what Dave said mate and move breaker down a little.
No point trying to break RIGHT at the end or in the middle, just won't work properly on extra tough sods.

Ive a ts 600. Used to break the odd porcelain tile. played with placement of pressure, now i can honestly say i have not broke or miscut a tile in months. Was cutting 11mm thick porcelain slivers off wall tiles today. Wet cutter wasnt even plugged in!

think mine is 3A by sigma,63 cm,great cutter with slots to click into for the angles too,the rail moves both ways too.porcelain is no problen to it.

I`ve always been a Rubi man myself but i came across Nuova Battipav a couple of months back their brilliant.

I use the 450 its got a 2000kg breaker on it , breezes through porcelain and cuts it fast and straight every time

The news on Porcelain is its getting MORE POPULAR and most showrooms are getting about 25% of their ranges up and in stock.

As the ceramic kilns wear out in Europe they are all being replaced by porcelain. That news came to me from Mick who owns Hoddesdon Tiles.

So its here to stay. Tools are adapting and we provide diamond drills to bore into very hard materials.

The good news is customers tend to pay more for porcelain installs

My cheapy Big Clinker cuts 10mm porcelain easily and cleanly.

Recommended. Doesn't have the finesse of Rubi, but munches porcelain all the same!
