Hi,
I'm looking into offering mosaic panels for pool inserts. These would be made using 10mm x 10mm x 10mm tesserae, the gaps about 1mm - 2mm. Made using different types of marble, trav. etc and set onto Mapei fibreglass mesh.

Most of my work (apart from the teaching now) has been for museums where you just have mosaic panels for display so I need to be aware of the technical side of modern adhesives etc.

I wouldn't be looking to install them, I leave that to people who know what they're doing! What I can offer is accurate copies of Roman mosaics in marble but if I approach companies who do pools what things/questions might crop up?

Cheers

Time's Ran Out

Morning!-
1) Price - approx per sq mt.
2) Delivery time - from instruction to site.
3) Thickness - against the field tile.
4) Chemical affect - Chlorine/cleaning agents on marble etc.
5) Guarantees - I'am sure if they are going to pay ££££-££ you'll want to cover yourself against 3rd party fitting!

Just a few that come to mind!

Timeless John.

Thanks John,
I can work through that list fairly quickly ,but I will have to do some work on finding out about the chemical effects.
My suppliers are in Italy so I'll need to get an idea from them of the types of stone.
