A while back I received an old Sigma cutter , it was given to me my the widow of ex tiler. Well for the last 6 years I have used it when doing smaller tiles but when Derek from Sigma Uk came to the forum I thought I would like to know its age and model.
I was surprised to find out that Sigma Italy have dated it from 1978 ! one year after I started tiling !! This makes it 34 years old and one of the oldest Derek knows of.
Its a model Art 6.......and still cuts fine.

Says a lot for how they're built. Must have been the Rolls Royce of it's day with the sprung base.

I have two tile cutters which I still use that look like the Sigma which are called Superior and were made in the USA Ive bought them in 1980 bit clapped out now but still going strong just cant get the wheels anymore so if anybody knows of these cutters and knows who might still stock them I got them from a tiling firm called Undys who was in London.
