Messy job

Well I just finished my floor at last and feel like I need a year or two off :lol: what a messy job, that bloody adhesive gets everywhere, well it does when I tile, lol

So do you pro's find it messy or are you more organised, I have gone through two pairs of jeans, a top and a pair of trainers :mad2:

Not to mention the £500 I spent on adhesive and SLC.

I only waste what goes off before i used it and thats not much as im a tight wad!

I will be getting some pics up later this week, I want to get the skirting boards, kitchen kickboards and a few other bits.

Floor was a little over 20m2 I put down polished porcelain 600x600 tiles, from B&Q sealed before grouting, and it has come out great, although the seem to mark very easy.

I learnt a lot doing this floor both through making mistakes and the help here, biggest thing I discovered is don't use rapid set............. it sets in a have to rush mentality.

I used about 10 bags of Mapei flexi adhesive and about the same of the latex plan trade, the floor was over 20mm out as it was formally two different areas.

Here are a few pics, will load up some more once all the other bits are back on .....

I also had to contend with a puppy springer spaniel running off with my tools, trying to get into the adhesive, and when I was buffing off the grout he was attached to the other end of the towel, I was tempted to use him instead of the towel :lol:

Cheers guys, you can really appreciate how difficult a job tiling really is, looks simple but far from it, I am glad it's over :hurray:

One quick question............. I notice that the tiles mark quite easy, so any ideas of a product that I could apply over the tiles to make them a little more stain resistant?
