General rule of thumb is if the damp is showing as black spots or mildew it's probably localised so condensation or a drip from a pipe etc. If it's brown patches, like a tea stain, it's penetrating or rising damp. If it's less than about a metre high it could be rising, won't climb higher due to gravity. Most cases are simply condensation.
I've learnt something today and nearly didn't, 25 more minutes and I'd have been into tomorrow's quota. :laughing:

So probably condensation from this leaking pipe and soggy sound boards!

Its on the main water pipe. The stopcock is above the leak, so turning the water off doesn't stop it
Yeah you'll need a plumber for that and shut the water off outside. Should be a standard call out charge and then a few quid for parts. Maybe 60-80 quid depending on where you live.
