Thanks guys, those pipes in the corner were buggers to tile around ,as a matter of interest how much would you charge for a job this size ,window wall is 3mtr long by 0.5 mtr high and the other wall is 2.2 mtr x 0.5 mtr

200 inc materials.Good job m8.are those pipes being boxed in or a plastic casing put on them as they spoil the look of the job.

Visually it would be better to have the tiles centered between the two cupboards. As dave said previously work out which will give you the better cut at the start of the worktop either a grout line centre of the cupboards or the centre of a tile. Also take into account the finish cut in the corner as well as cuts around sockets. Then start at the hob and work your way out in either direction.
