Keraflex For Ply Floor

Hi,

Another adhesive question: I'm going to be tiling 300 x 300 ceramic tiles to a plywood floor (I've put plenty of screws in) using a 10mm round notch. It's a downstairs WC so not constant water exposure.

I've noticed my local tile giant sells mapei keraflex maxi s1 20kg bags. Would this be ok for this job? Also, is this the same product as the 5kg bags of keraflex from screwfix (the screwfix doesn't mention maxi or s1 in the name)

Thanks!

the only addy I would use is bal flex 2part addy or ardex x7 with ardon 90 additive if you tile direct onto ply another way is stick and screew down hardy backer board then stick with a s1 addy

Fastflex?

Can tile curtains with that stuff and they'd last longer than the material on its own!

Designed years ago to tile the london underground I believe. Johnsons got the contract and owned / or were best friends with BAL at the time?

Thanks for the above advice. The product I ended up using was another flexible rapid set - BAL turbo set. Seems to have done the job although I haven't tried jumping around on the floor yet.

For any other beginners using this adhesive though - the name 'turbo set' doesn't do it justice! I only mixed 2.5kg at a time (comes in a 5kg bag), pre-cut all my tiles and I still ruined my nice BAL mixing bucket when it set as I was cleaning the grout lines 🙁

The glitter grout in general. Not you lol

I've added a category in the media gallery to add pictures of finished tiling using glitter grout.
