Hi,

I need a door bar of some sorts to bridge the gap between my tiled bathroom and carpeted landing.

Normally this would not be a problem but there is quite a big height gap between the two rooms.

The tiles have been laid on to ply so the height is 30mm.
The carpet is about 20mm high.

I think an aluminuim coloured bar would suit.

I was thinking of this http://bit.ly/dI6QZc and lay a small strip of wood under it to raise the height.
But I have heard that they loose the suface covering and damage quickly and easily .

Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies.

The biggest z bar I have seen is for 18mm tile height.
So should I lay a small piece of wood underneath to make up the difference??
