well hopefully mate, im really getting the feeling there will be no money involved as it would of been in my hand today but tmoz will tell, I don't mind either way though lol. was really pleased with it but there were a couple of things I would of done better. but that can be done on the next job lol cheers

Ash, to be honest I would be a bit gutted if I didn't get paid for doing the job but the opportunity that you had there may turn out better than being paid.
Got flung in at the deep end & came out the other side with a fair bit of knowledge, a very steep learning curve there.
If you don't get paid then take it on the chin & take it for what it is, a good opportunity.
As I said the job looks cracking you should be well proud m8..

Love the fact you know you could do better.

yeh I don't claim to be a brilliant tiler at all but I know I have the technical knowhow to go out and do safe tiling work just as much as the next bloke who's out there earning off it lol. I need to find my faults so I can improve but you don't notice some little things until you are grouting up. oh and definitely using a tape measure for cuts is making it more precise for me. I don't mind not being paid I offered to do it for free in the first place but I don't see why they would bring money into it if they have no intention on handing it over that's all that will get on my nerves. ahh well off to go hunting for another job tmoz anyway got that splash that was supposed to be done before xmas too that may be done some time this week bring it on! lol

That's the statement that gets me, he's starting to think like a tiler,
Every job I do I'm never 100% happy with every aspect of the job.
OCD kicking in.. 

Exactly! And hopefully it will drive him nuts for the next 20yr!

Well done Ash, you must be feeling proud after that. You have a good attitude as well which will get you far.

Fair play, it's a steep learning curve to be fixing tiles straight away, a lot of us mixed, cut and grouted for 2 years before we ever laid a tile.

steep isn't the word mate lol I know I havnt gone down the best route but I only had one route I could take lol. I have seen worse and il get there in the end just happy I walked away from my first job with a big grin lol. cheers

Hey Ash, if Phil Hobson tells you its good....then its good mate. Just need TJ to cast his eye over it now. He might pull the young whipper snapper Hobson up.
