Grey Adhesive under Travertine?

Ha, at least I got you to read this thread...

Actually using white flexi slow set adhesive under travertine, but wondering if it's OK to use grey flexi rapid set adhesive under the hardiebacker (floor) to save me a few squid and let me start laying tile the same day.

i would never use a grey adhesive for travertine, if u get a shadow & the client isnt happy then u rip up n start again, it should cost u about 2 quid? xtra for white adhesive per bag, do a job right the 1st time!!

I did read the question!! n u r asking about grey rapid flex, use a white rapid flex?, people come on here looking for advice about certain aspects of tiling, i replied 2 this post 2 give my opinion of the "appropriate" adhesive to use on travertine!!
 
i just looked at the question again n c the post said "under" the hardie backing board, my appolligies "spelling" , looking at it why would u use a white 2 fix a board anyway?
