This is a floor I completed couple of weeks ago along with the help of @Mark Frost
As title 1600 x 1600 x 6mm Florim concrete effect.
On sanded and primed anhydride screed, which was moisture tested twice over a period of 3 weeks.
Tilemaster Antifracture Mat installed with Anhyfix, and tiles fixed with Isomat’s AK25 S2 adhesive.

If anyone is interested, there are 5 pieces left over that the client wishes to sell.
Serious enquiries only please, whilst I’m sure you’ll get a bargain, it won’t be a cheap bargain. 😀 PM me for details.

I actually plucked up the courage to use my Bosch GSL 2 on it afterward 🙂 quietly pleased about the result.

Screed was perfectly good.
I tend to lay all thin porcelain floors in S2 these days.

I'm supprised at that with it being rapid set.
I never use rapid set on thin tile, by the time you’ve mixed it and applied to both surfaces it’s already going off and you can’t get the movement in the tile to bed it in properly in my opinion.
AK25 is not a rapid setting S2 by our standards. It has a comfortable 3 hr pot life, the same as their 2 part MegaRapid, which is an excellent adhesive too.

You didn’t break any then.
Nice looking job.
Actually John, it was very straightforward by thin tile standards for a change 🙂
I can honestly say it was the easiest floor I’ve had to lay in some considerable time.
And thank you, appreciate that. 🙂

Another great looking job:handok::handok:
Cheers Andy.
It’s a shame, it’s not exactly awe inspiring, but if they’d had more area covered it would have looked special. It is a stunning piece. There’s just not enough there to show it at its best.

When do pictures ever do it justice?

Within a few years we will have proper 4K walkthroughs I imagine 🙂

I kept looking at these tiles to see if I could use them somewhere but they are just the wrong size for what I want. I need something rectangular and longer for a shower and possible floor in an en suite.

I've Googled Florin tiles and can't find a price anywhere. I can't imagine these are cheap. What's the cost of this kind of thing?

I'm thinking of using them as shower walls and as much as I'm a natural stone guy, I don't like using natural stone in a shower. The idea of a single slab of porcelain per wall with no grout joints is very appealing.

Take a look at Porcel-thin 🙂

I know Ray, I'll certainly be having a chat with him. I need to figure out what kind of scheme/look I want first.

I like the book match marbles and I'm thinking of using that as a feature wall in our lounge.

We bought a peculiar architect designed house (cutting edge in 1959!) earlier this year and nothing is normal about it at all. We're doing the entire place top to bottom.

The first room we did I painted white top to bottom, simply as I wasn't sure what colour I wanted. It looks so good all white we've decided to keep it that way.

I’m a huge Fan of white.

That’s been my thing in Bathrooms for six months- white walls, statement floor.

I’m trying to reject grey 🙂

Hey Alan,
Florim are one of the prestige names for sure, don’t go spending your money without speaking time first mate, I know a person or two. 🙂
I happen to know that these pieces were around £140m2 to buy, but you don’t need to spend that much.
If you were to budget £100-£120m2 to buy, then you won’t get a shock when you choose something.
Obviously bookmatched and strings can be more expensive.
Here’s a couple of your ideas I’ve done this year.
