Does anyone set off fireworks at midnight newyears eve.?

Is anybody against this new-ish tradition...seemed to get more popular in the uk since the turn of the century/millenium....

I will be this year, but haven't previously. We get our fireworks from a place called Epic Fireworks and man, are they EPIC

Not personally. They set them off on our village green though if you don't mind a few drunks

I've set them off down the on the beach for the past 3 few years, although the law has changed about how powerful a rocket can be for sale to the general public now. The last one I let off before the law change was 6 foot tall! and it exploded on the stroke of midnight, classic timing, couldn't have timed it better.

Always a great show on Brighton beach with loads on people setting off their own, there has also been a massive rise in the number of Chinese laterns being let loose, looks beautiful but again somebody has to complain and now farmers are calling for them to be banned as they say it frightens the cows and burns crops, give me a break! it's minus 5! how many fields are going to be set alight:incazzato:

we 've got some fireworks, courtesy of the in-laws, but I'm reluctant to set 'em off as we all have pets on our little row of houses (even tho we live in the countryside)

I know what you mean Doug:thumbsup:, I still think it's a minority of pets that get freeked though. I've 2 cats and neither off them give a rats... In fact most of my mates that have got pets don't bother them much.

From experiance it seems to be the odd dog that gets spooked maybe because of their hearing?
