Hi All

just after some quick advice, I have laid about 45sqm of durabase over an old screed floor my question is before tiling shouldI use the durabase jointing tape on the butt joins or can I get away with not using it a/ it’s flippin expensive ? Doesn’t need to be waterproofed as it’s on a hallway/kitchen
Any advice welcome cheers in advance

You don’t need the joint tape on that project 👍
Great cheers Dave
was just curious wether it would affect the properties of the durabase and cracks from screed wouldn’t penetrate through the the joins to the tiles
But thought that was the case as I have read it’s for waterproofing
All the best
