Hi,
Would you use Durabase matting over Hardie 6mm floor?
Im not 100% happy with the ply floor so am going to use 6mm Hardie backer 1200 x 600 mm.
Its advised to go in a brick-bond staggered to reduce chance of cracking, but Im kind of thinking that there a loads more joins now than I had with...
I have used Durabase a couple of times and decided it was safer to backbuttered the felt side and got a perfect contact, just like when backbuttering tiles.
Just wondering whether anyone else does this, because there are a few videos on youtube but none of them backbutter the matting.
Thanks
I'm interested to know if anyone has used SLC over Durabase CI++.
I know that Schulter advise against using SLC over Ditra but is it the same with Durabase CI++?
Having had a look at the technical data sheets etc there is no mention unlike Schulter who state not too.
I also note from comments on...

Hi all.
I’m after recommendations for the best adhesive for fixing Durabase decoupling matting to a concrete floor?
It’s an old concrete floor, 40m2 with some minor cracks. Planning on using tilemaster prime + grip prior to fixing the matting.
Cheers.

Cheers
Just wondering what peoples preferences on these were. I have used Ditra, Durabase and Bal matting and just wondered what everyone else prefers/thinks is best.
