Do not work for this contractor!!!!!!!

I’ve done a few weeks for a contractor called Beckwell builds in East Anglia, it’s only a small ltd company and it was the boss who called me, wanted me to start as soon as poss., I did one large slate floor for him, got asked to do both bathrooms as well, I asked for all my materials up front and he seems happy with this, the day comes to start and still no pay for floor or materials, I don’t turn up. I get a phone call asking why? So he tells me he will backs it to my account, I start and low and behold still no money. I finished a month ago, still no money, on two occasions I have gone to meet him at the bank and have been stood up, last two weeks he will not answer his phone to me.
Be warned, he is full of it. He is based in the Bury st Edmunds area.

Send him a recorded letter asking for payment or you will instruct a solicitor to take it further.

Find out where he lives, go round about 7:30 AM and make sure his wife and kids know he has not paid you. Believe me, his misses will nag him plenty once you have been to the door a couple of times.

A bit of a sly one,

Post a letter demanding payment to the builder in an unsealed envelope. On purpose, address it to the builder but to his next door neighbours address.

When the neighbours post it (unsealed) through the correct letterbox he will pretty much know his neighbours know all about unwillingness to pay. Who knows, might make him pay up a bit faster.
