First off, mods please move this thread if it is in the wrong forum.

We have some anti slip tiles in the entrance of our office that have become quite dirty. Mopping isn't doing the job to clean them. Is there some sort of acid etch or machine cleaning anyone can recommend we try?

Thanks and apologies for not posting something that's not entirely tiling related.

K.

Moved to correct forum for you. Can you post a picture to show us what you're dealing with? Are the tiles dirty, or is it a residue left from grouting?

AFAIK they've only tried general floor cleaner like Flash.

I've attached a couple of photos. As you can see, the tiles are quite dirty and that mark on the second photo is where some floor paint was spilled. It was chipped off about 2-3 weeks after it had dried. The floor was put down a number of years ago so it's not grout/adhesive dirt. Just general wear and tear. We were going to try a steam mop on it.

Steam mop might just loosen it up enough to clean up. If not then I would go down the chemical/elbow grease route.

Try LTP grimex, you can get it from Tile Giant if you have one near you or, click their logo in the sponsor section to the left. I'm yet to find a situation that it hasn't sorted for me.

A good steam clean would probably sort this or as Rich has said it will loosen the dirt enough to give it a good clean with a mop.

they look alot like jhonsons kerastar range of tiles , they are a swine for holding dirt, saying that does,nt look like they were cleaned properly after grouting,
as bri as said try grimex
