Hello. I have an ofuro or Japanese deep soaking bath in my ensuite. Think a mini indoor hot tub. It sits inside a square frame, and has 3 steps alongside which are used to get into and out of the bath. Something like this, but with 3 steps up on one side - on the outside. The surround and steps are tiles using matt 'carrera marble' porcelain tiles to match the room floor and walls.

I am looking for recommendations for things to do to make the steps less slippery when used as we get out of the bath. I've seen a number of etching products that supposedly don't alter the look of the tiles, but the reviews are on-the-fence - some say they work, others say they destroyed their tiles. Given even the smallest bottle of these products are nearly £40, I don't have the funds to buy each of them and try them out.

Any recommendations / personal experience gratefully received. Thanks
