I've changed the posting permissions to the Tiling Courses, Tiling Course Feedback, and Tiling NVQ forum categories.

From today anybody with a forum account marked TilersForums Arms or above will not be able to post in those forum categories, assuming if a user has informed us that they are a fully operating as a professional wall and floor tiler, they are probably not training also.

If such a user wishes to post threads asking about further training, they can do so in the TilersForums Arms or any other forum category related to their user account type.

The reason for this is to encourage more active discussion from newer members regarding courses, which of late seem to be contributed to too often by regular members in a way that is quite off-putting for whatever reason. A fair few complaints come in to me related to this and new users feel they can't ask questions about training for fear of being told they need to go to college or consider a different job. When in fact we all know tilers who are very good at what they do that have had no training at all even, let alone tilers who have been on a whole range of courses long and short.

I'll close this thread.
