Hello All,
Hopefully someone will able to help, I have taken up approx 9 inch vynal floor tiles i think they are Marley, it has left a thin film of black tar. I would like to lay ceramic tiles.

I have tried to remove it (blow torch and white spirit, not at the same though !!)

Can tile straight on it ????

Help !!

Ok... You can use a SBR/Cement slurry coat to aid in the adhesion or use a Latex SLC to cover the floor..

Styrene-Butadiene-Rubber SBR ;.)

I asked for that !! Can you recommend a brand / type . i am presuming it is a pva ??

PVA>> NO!!!.. never use pva..

Get some of this and mix with rapid set adhesive 50/50.. paste onto the floor and then leave to dry.. TradeTiler.Ltd Search Results

Approx how much of each would i need to cover 15 sq.meters.

Is it worth pasting on the above mixture then use latex SLC, or just used slc.

Half of the area is already tiled and secure, do you recommend tiling over or removing ?

Thank you for your help so far.
