Brick bond around door or window

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

I'm tiling my bathroom using white metro tiles 20mm x 10mm (not bevelled). I want to use a brick bond pattern. When tiling around a window/door do I start above them and work down or do I start at the first full tile above the floor and hope the pattern matches back up above the window/door.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Start at the bottom as you say. Run a vertical line up either side of the window on a tile edge and keep your bond to that. 👍

Thanks David,
Sounds quite obvious now you've said it but had you not i would have just tiled both sides and kept my fingers crossed that the run above the window matched.

Thanks again
