Bath / shower tray repair kits.... - Tile Advice

Dropped a tile in a bath yesterday, I'm sure we've all been there.

Decided to try one of these repair kits from tool station before spending a small fortune on a bath repair man.

The results were much better than expected, well worth getting one to keep in the van..

My worry is the patch discolours over time and shows up. Its bitten me before 3 years later..

With 3 kids in there house, I should imagine in 3 years there will be more chips to contend with....

A little tip i use guys,as i chipped a few trays,i put foam underland on the shower trays ,nice to kneel on ,and protects ,i learnt the hardway ,looksgood to the client

When i was doing some McCarthy stone retirement apartments a few years back they put 25 mm celotex on the tray before you got in the room and correx on the kitchen worktops

I cover all my Bath's with a bath board I made up from some 22 mm ply.
In this case the bath was a shower bath so one edge was exposed, despite covering it with a 2 layers cardboard and 2 layers of dust sheets, the tile just had to hit that spot on the corner of the tile from ceiling height.

Couldn't believe how unlucky I could be !!
