that what you get when a builder tries to cut out a tradesman (greed and hungry for work spring to mind) let the architec sort it but please do not pay for what is already done:mad2:
that does look poor, but put 2 tiles back to back,if they are bowed it is impossible to get a perfect finish with brickbond,as the high point on one tile will hit the low point on the row below, ive seen it many times,i always show the customer before i fix, also spotlights will cause shadow on this too which makes it look even worse
That is pretty rough in my opinion. Alot of tradesmen who have tiled before seem to think every project is the same. There is a reason why we are tilers... We have the know-how and the tools.
I urge all clients to get the right tradesmen for the job from the off to avoid complications.
Hi CutieCat, Just to add my tuppence in saying that's not acceptable. Please do whatever it takes to get it sorted as the fact you've posted on this forum means you're really not happy with it yourself. If you accept it you'll cringe every time you look at it as it looks hard to miss.
If you are unsure of how to approach the builder about this problem then just get a proper tiler in to rectify it and take the money from whatever you owe the builder. Personally I would stop him from doing anymore work as he clearly has no regard to the finish.
Why should you have to put up with this mess? Its his problem so get him to sort asap.
Builders!! dont you just love them..........:mad2::mad2:
