Lay expansion joint with flexi addy, pour your slc up to the joint but not covering it, tile up to the expansion joint leaving grout joint, do not tile over it

Just a side note, obviously dont bed the expansion joint to high otherwise your going to use a lot more addy on the tile bed to come level, allow for a couple of mm addy to bring the bottom of the strip flush with the slc finish level.

yes mate i know what your saying ,dont want to pour to much slc then find out by the time you add ahdesive and tile your sitting 4mm above ex joint.:thumbsup:

You got it, of course, if you wanted to make sure, just shutter off the 2 substrates with a baton or similar and lay the expansion joint at the same time as you fix the tiles, no worries then :thumbsup:
