Hi

Can anyone pls give me some info on adhesive coverage for a 10mm u-shaped solid bed notched trowel?

I'm looking at using at using tilemaster ultimate adhesive and they give 5-6 square meters coverage at a 3mm depth. The tiles will be natural stone so they wont have any recesses in the back of the tile so once full contact with the adhesive is reached how much adhesive will be between the tile and the screed presuming the screed is fairly flat?

A 20kg bag will give you between 4-5m2. The only adhesive I have personally used that covers 6m2 is BAL super cover which is a 15kg bag.

Depending how flat your floor is and the tile size, I work on about 4m2 per bag which covers me.

Thanks guys. I'll base my quote on 3-4 Meters squared per 20kg bag then using a 10mm solid bed trowel, this one always gets me as my tile shop always bases coverage on about 5-6 meters per 20kg & I always use loads more, guess other tilers are using smaller notched trowels?

Thanks alot.

All the manufactures say that, but they are depending on the minimum amount of addy, in real life it is a lot less, if your floor is near perfect then about 3/ 4 + not more than that I would say.

When ever i cook something it normally says serves 3 to 4 people. . . yeah right lucky to serve 2 unless its serving 3 to 4 people with very small tums
